Meet Rachel Brown, the artistic maestro from NYC and LA, now crafting her wild, whimsical, and nature-inspired art in Austin, TX.

Raised on a farm in Missouri, she got the creative bug from her watercolor-artist mom and folk-painter, dairy-farmer grandma. She attended college in Missouri and got her canvas charisma skills from Philly's Studio Incamminati.

Cool fact? Rachel has 200+ pieces at The Landsby Hotel in Solvang, CA – a masterpiece in every room. Global charm? Her art is in London, Paris, Denmark, Dubai, and Japan. Big-name fans? Hilary Duff, Mr. Brainwash, Stephen Baldwin, Julia Roberts all have her pieces. What makes her the happiest? That her art brings a smile to your face, and lightens your day.

“I find inspiration in the untamed beauty of the natural world and life’s small wonders. I am forever inspired by the patterns, textures, and colors of nature. From detailed portraits of large animals to teeny-tiny paintings of feathers, Mother Nature is my forever muse.

Made with sole: A comfort insole with cork footbed plus leather midsole and outsole make Alvies boots easy on your feet
Zip it: Side zipper for easy on/off (also looks cool)
100% leather: Full cowhide upper (vamp, counter, shaft, and lining)
Well heeled: Stacked leather heel, hard EVA middle lining, non-slip rubber bottom

Alvies boots and leather flip-flops are made by one of the oldest and most respected bootmakers in León, the bootmaking capital of the world. History fact: León has been a shoemaking hub since 1645. Many of the bootmaking OGs in our ethical factory have been crafting boots by hand for decades. They use traditional methods and are paid a fair wage for their skills.
