How We Give Back

Part of Alvies' mission is to give back by donating a portion of our sales to worthy causes. We do that through our Alvies Kicks Back program, which is dedicated to giving back to the community while celebrating people living their authentic lives. Two values we stand behind at Alvies.

Each of our boots have a Kickback Ambassador who chooses where its charitable proceeds go. We’ve carefully selected ambassadors who represent the freedom to be themselves, and who we’re proud to have representing our brand. They are people who have contributed to the culture and character of our society: artists, entrepreneurs, musicians and more.

BILLY F GIBBONS, THE BFG

Billy is the legendary frontman of ZZ Top. He’s supporting the National Independent Venue Foundation, which preserves and nurtures independent music venues around the US. Check out the BFG

STACY FRANKLIN, THE RAINEY

Stacy is the co-owner of Austin institution Franklin Barbecue. She's supporting Les Dames d'Escoffier Austin, which inspires and advances women in the culinary and hospitality industries. Check out the Rainey

JACKIE VENSON, THE RIO GRANDE

Jackie is a guitar phenom known for her electric performances. She’s supporting E4 Youth, which helps find and nurture creative talent from traditionally under-represented groups. Check out the Rio Grande

BEN SWEAT, THE MANCHACA

Ben is a Sporting KC defender, and formerly played for Austin FC. He’s supporting The Conservation Alliance, which helps protect North America’s wild places through advocacy and funding. Check out the Manchaca

Juan Meza, The Congress

Juan is the owner of the Eastside classic restaurant Juan in a Million. He's supporting Con Mi MADRE, which empowers young Latinas and their mothers in their educational journey. Check out The Congress

Eric Tessmer, The Comal

Eric is a gifted guitar player, singer and songwriter. He’s supporting Austin Pets Alive!, an animal adoption and advocacy organization that has saved more than 80,000 animals. Check out The Comal

Laurie Gallardo, The Guadalupe

Laurie is one of Austin’s most famous voices as a host and producer at public radio station KUTX. She’s helping Project ATX6, which supports Austin music and shares it with the world. Check out The Guadalupe

Gordy Quist, The 6th Street

Gordy is a member of The Band of Heathens. He’s supporting The SIMS Foundation, which provides mental health and substance use recovery services to musicians and music industry professionals. Check out the 6th Street

Kendall Antonelli, The Trinity

Kendall is the founder of Antonelli’s Cheese Shop. She is supporting National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization, which fittingly, started around a kitchen table in 1979. DO GOOD. EAT GOOD. Buy Cheese. And do it all in your very own Trinity boots.

ALVIE JUNIOR, THE LAMAR

Our original boot is inspired by the collection of classic cowboy boots our founder inherited from his grandpa, a decorated veteran who served in World War II. We donate charitable proceeds from The Lamar to The Iron Freedom Foundation in his name. They organize outdoor experiences for veterans and a lasting support community. Check out The Lamar
