About the BFG's

Billy F Gibbons is a legendary Texas rocker, hot-rodder, guitar-shredder and beard-grower. He and his ZZ Top bandmates helped spread Texas to the world through a signature sound and a brash style like nothing anyone had seen before.

When we were looking to co-design a limited-edition boots with an iconic Texan, Billy was the natural choice. As a lifelong admirer of boots and of good design, we were thrilled to have him involved in every step of the design process.

The result is the BFG I & II, a new kind of cowboy boot that combines a classic style with a rock ‘n’ roll attitude. The design takes inspiration from Billy’s personal infatuation with cars, guitars and making music, combined with his (and our) passion for sharing Texas with the world.

Limited Edition Release

The BFGs are limited-edition boot that we expect to sell out quickly. We only have a few pairs left of the BFG I and are expecting to sellout of the BFG II quickly. Once they’re gone, amigo — they’re gone.

Designed with Billy F Gibbons

We worked closely with Billy throughout the design process to create a boot that represented his inimitable style. The BFGs takes inspiration from hotrod culture, rock ‘n’ roll flair, and old school Hollywood. All packed into a boot that’s comfortable and durable enough to wear all day, day after day.

About Billy

Born in Houston, Billy learned to play guitar at age 13 and at age 14 formed his first band, The Saints. Just three years later, he founded the psychedelic band the Moving Sidewalks and opened for The Jimi Hendrix Experience on their first US headlining tour. In 1969 he founded ZZ Top with bassist Dusty Hill and drummer Frank Beard. They released their first album in 1971, and have been rocking ever since.
